Day 2
Nutrition Challenge: Protein takes longer than carbohydrates to break down in the body, providing a longer-lasting energy source as well as helps to fuel your body. You can find protein in poultry, fish, lean red meat, nuts, milk, yogurt, eggs, cheese, tofu, among other items. Try to eat the correct amount of protein for your body. Bonus Challenges (Optional): For today’s bonus challenge, share a picture of your protein or recipe. Be sure to give it a LOTR inspired name! You can share/post it on our private Fandomfitters fb group, tag us on our Instagram, or send it to us in an email. Fitness Challenge: Set your stopwatch to 30 seconds. For 30 seconds, do as many of each exercise as you can. Take a 15 second rest and move on to the next exercise. For example: see how many Bird Dog Crunches you can do in 30 seconds then write down your results. Rest for 15 seconds and then see how many Mountain Climbers you can do in 30 seconds. Write down your results.
- Bird Dog Crunch – how to count: you will need to break this one up into 15 seconds; 15 seconds completing bird dog crunches with the right elbow and left knee and 15 seconds completing them with the left elbow and right knee; take each bird dog crunch and then divide that number by 2 to get the median.
- Mountain Climber – how to count: once you have completed a mountain climber with both legs = 1; for example, right leg up then left leg up = 1
- Pendulum Lunges – how to count: you will need to break this one up into 15 seconds; 15 seconds completing the pendulum lunges with left leg and 15 seconds completing them with the right leg. Once you have completed a pendulum lunge going forward with your leg and then going back with your leg = 1
- Hip Bridges – how to count: once you are back down in the starting position = 1
- Lying Leg Raises – how to count: once you have brought your legs back up in the starting position = 1
- Now go back for a second round of the exercises – you got this!

Nutrition Challenge: In general, you should try to drink between half an ounce and an ounce of water for each pound you weigh, every day. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, that would be 75 to 150 ounces of water a day. Try to drink the recommended amount of water today and email how many ounces you drank.
Bonus Challenge (Optional): Share a pic of you getting in those ounces! You can do this by posting a picture of your water bottle(s), special cups, fandom drinkware, etc. to our private Fandomfitters fb group, tag us on our Instagram, or send it to us in an email. Fitness Challenge: You will need to walk, jog, or run your way to one mile. Make sure to record your time for the mile. After your mile, complete one round of each exercise – with each round being 30 seconds. Record how many of each you finish within the 30 seconds.
- Burpees – how to count: once you have completed a full burpee and are back in the starting position = 1
- Bicycle Crunches – how to count: once you have completed a bicycle crunch with both sides (right elbow to left knee and left elbow to right knee) = 1
- Plank Jacks – how to count: once you are back in the starting position, you have completed a plank jack. Each plank jack = 1
